Description

Hours of Work
Mon-Fri 4pm - 8pm
Sat Sun 1pm-8pm
Rotating schedule at half time


Typical duties and responsibilities include
Adhering to policies and procedures established by Pine Lodge
Engaging and developing therapeutic relationships with clients
Developing case plans for clients incorporating a holistic model ofrecovery
Triaging, screening, and assessing client needs to complete initialassessments
Preparing, organizing, and facilitating client educational sessions
Providing counselling and facilitating psycho educational groups
assessing for suicidal risk and provide crisis management
Arranging and participating in case conferences, and other
relevant meetings with collateral agencies and significant others
Providing orientation to clients as part of the admission process
Assisting in the collection of statistical data

Maintaining accurate and current case notes and files, completing
incident reports as required
Carry out other duties as may be assigned

Educational Requirements
Diploma or Degree in MH/Addictions, Chemical Dependency, Addictions Counselling, or another human services field acceptable to the employer (Psychology, Sociology, Psychiatric Nursing, Human Justice). May Consider those who are in the process of completing education

Experience
Ability to develop a recovery and case plan with clients
Knowledge of best practices in addiction field and harm reduction Strategies
Demonstrated knowledge of screening tools and assessment tools and procedures
Demonstrated knowledge of therapeutic tools such as
Motivational interviewing and CBT
Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-informed practice
