Duties and Responsibilities
Follow recipes and menus for preparing, seasoning, cooking and serving food items which may include soups, meats, vegetable and other food and beverage
Prepare individualized meals for people with special dietary concern or with food allergies
Check production supply and keep records in order to accurately plan needed supplies and estimate food requirements
Operates a variety of kitchen equipment
Practices excellent food safety and sanitation practices and complies with the standards
Coordinate with other cooks to ensure optimum use of kitchen space and equipment
Provide training to kitchen helpers and other cooks as necessary
Requirements:
Several years of experience in commercial cooking experience in high volume or fast casual dining restaurant environment
Knowledgeable about food preparation skills
Requires the ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with customers using English language
