Description

This role is tasked with providing an excellent tenant experience within a downtown office portfolio as well as suburban office and retail properties.  The position is suited to an outgoing individual interested in working within a team environment as well as alone, to ensure the properties are well cared for and maintained in a safe and environmentally conscious manner.

The Building Operator will:
    Respond to customer service requests within standards established for safety, comfort, cleanliness, responsiveness, follow up, and communication;
    Maintain code compliance for all applicable building codes.
    Operate the buildings automation, mechanical, and electrical systems;
    Perform light maintenance including equipment filter changes, misc. painting and repair tasks, light bulb changes, etc.
    Perform routine property, building, and equipment inspections.
    Maintain updated logs for daily activities, equipment, and meter readings as required.
    Maintain positive contractor relationships while overseeing contracted services such as cleaning, security, HVAC, grounds, snow removal, etc.
    Carry out the planned seasonal maintenance programs for the properties; and
    
Qualifications for this role include:
    A commitment to serving customers with availability after hours as required.
    A valid 5th Class Power Engineer and Refrigeration Engineer Certificates, or 4th Class Power Engineer Certificate and current associated operating licenses.
    Other certifications such as Building Systems Technician, Systems Maintenance Technician, First Aid, and WHIMIS would be considered an asset.
    Valid drivers license with a clean drivers abstract;
    A mechanical inclination with practiced motor skills and capacity to perform physical work;
    Proficiency in the English language both written and verbal, as well as strong listening and collaborative skills that enable positive and beneficial relationships;
    Good computer literacy with experience using digital devices;
