Description

We are looking for a leader to join our team! If you are enthusiastic about supporting adults to reach their goals, are experienced in training and supervising a support team, and want to gain more leadership skills, this is the role for you!

SCHEDULE:
Monday and Tuesday: 12pm to 8 pm
Wed Thurs Friday 2pm to 10 pm


Duties
*Responsible for the day to day operating of the group home/day program support along with support workers, and for providing leadership to all staff in the home.  Leadership for the team lead does not include hiring or disciplinary action, but rather is a coaching role to help staff perform to the best of their ability and to lead by example.
*Responsible for assisting with coaching and training of staff and assisting  Manager with administrative duties as assigned.  Administrative duties may include accounting, scheduling, and communication with staff, parents and community partners, communicating with persons responsible for repairs and maintenance.
*Must ensure that all staff use a Gentle Teaching approach and follow the Comprehensive Program Planning and Support Policies.
*Responsible for communicating with the manager regularly and ensuring all documentation is completed and reported as required.

QUALIFICATIONS
Leadership/Coaching skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Superior problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently with little supervision.
Working knowledge of autism and the community of agencies providing services to individuals with autism and their families is an asset.
Basic computer skills.

*MUST HAVE DRIVER'S LICENSE AND ACCESS TO WORKING VEHICLE
*MUST BE ABLE TO PROVIDE CRIMINAL RECORD CHECK WITH VULNERABLE SECTOR CHECK
