Description

The primary role of this position is to enhance the technical capacity of The Container Guy (TCG) by completing applied projects in technology adoption and integration.

To help achieve this goal, you will leverage the latest in digital technologies to develop a framework for an inter-connected manufacturing operation (manufacturing, product design, engineering, procurement, finance & reporting, etc.).

You will transition the companys manufacturing, engineering, R&D, warehousing, shipping & receiving into the new purpose built facility, under one roof. It is anticipated significant advancements will be realized by the company (efficiencies, cost savings, increased quality, increased customer satisfaction, etc.). In turn these gains are expected to support the growth of the business including expanded market share and new technology development.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Review current state of business operation (resources, HR, expertise, markets, technology, etc.).

Define a desired but realistic end state.

Complete exhaustive gap analysis (current internal practices, programs, workarounds, etc.).

Investigate and evaluate technologies (off the shelf, custom, best in class, etc.).

Define solution framework (must have, nice to have, high risk, high value, key differentiators, etc.).

Create development roadmap (milestones, modules, resources, risk mitigation, etc.).

Define validation protocol (high level, sub-systems, customer focus, etc.).
