Description

MAIN FUNCTION: Supervise on-site building operations, maintenance & cleaning. Ensure maintenance, repairs & inspections are scheduled & completed in a safe manner

DUTIES:
Ensure tenant satisfaction through good customer service. Manage workload to maintain efficiencies. Respond quickly during emergencies
Investigate & record all log requirements. Report deficiencies. Maintain on-site inventory
Ensure completion of repairs. Inspect interior/exterior areas for repair
Ensure overall security of the building
Monitor contractors. Organize work to be completed. Assist Commercial PM with billing
Ensure compliance with all policies & procedures. Participate in ongoing training
REQUIREMENTS:

-Flexibility in taking on various duties & work on-call
-Excellent communication skills & effective English speaking/writing skills
-Ability to read & interpret documents & write reports/correspondence
-Ability to exchange information concerning maintenance
-Ability to understand, communicate & ensure compliance with Health & Safety practices
-Experience in safe work practices as per OH&S & WHMIS legislation
-Experience with HVAC equipment, BAS, FAS in building operations is an asset
-Competent in carpentry: blueprint reading, building layout, surveying knowledge, fundamentals of general construction
-Proven relevant mechanical/electrical aptitude & trouble-shooting skills
-Valid drivers license required
-2-3 years post-secondary education: engineering, building operations, construction or equivalent combination of education & experience is required
-Building Environmental Systems Certification (Class I & II) BOMI, SMT, SMA an asset
-Computer literacy
-Fireman boiler operator is a must
-5th class power engineering is an asset
