Summary of Duties
We are looking for a Cook to assist with our Food Security Program. This position will be responsible for various tasks including, but not limited to, preparing food, packaging meals, serving meals, cleaning/sanitizing, organizing supplies, washing dishes, etc. The primary purpose of this role is to help reduce food insecurity in the community through the delivery of our Food Security Program.

Qualifications/Experience
- Proven experience as a cook (1  2 years) with Food Handler Certification
- Basic knowledge and understanding of federal, provincial, and municipal food safety regulations and requirements
- Experience working in a commercial kitchen would be an asset
- De-escalation training, and First Aid certification would be an asset

Carmichael Outreach works with those in our community who experience poverty and homelessness, which includes a broad cross-section of individuals, many of whom have struggled with mental health and addictions issues, trauma, physical or cognitive disabilities, and more.
