Description

St. Frances Cree Bilingual School has emerged as a significant location for Cree Cree culture and language revitalization in Canada, serving over 650 students from pre-kindergarten to grade 9. Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools is pleased to share that planning for the construction of a new school facility for St. Frances Cree Bilingual School is underway. This state-of-the-art facility will house the largest Indigenous language program in Canada. The success of St. Frances Cree Bilingual School is a result of the strong complement of teachers and support staff. At this time, we invite applications for the position of Grade 1 Cree Bilingual Classroom Teacher, with duties to commence as soon as possible.

Required Qualifications:
- Possess or be eligible for a Saskatchewan Teacher's Certificate
- Cree language competency and a desire to support students in their language development
- Knowledge of early learning principles, early and emerging literacy, and assessment strategies
- Demonstrated ability to work well within a team as well as independently
