Description

- Performing full pre-delivery inspections on machines prior to delivery to the customer
- Performing routine mechanical duties as well as assembly, maintenance, and minor repair of equipment.
- Efficiently and effectively evaluate the working condition of heavy-duty mobile equipment, including:
- Diesel engine and engine support systems
- Transmissions
- Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Differentials and final drives
- Steering, suspension, and brake systems
- Electrical/electronic systems
- Structural components
- Heating and cooling systems
- Machine operation and control systems
- Fluid and fuel systems
- Use testing instruments, hand, air, and electric tools correctly in assembly, maintenance, repair, and inspection
- Use secondary materials and equipment safely, such as rigging, welding equipment, and cleaning/pressure washers
- Safely operate and road test equipment and check attachment operation as required.
- Use computer applications and information systems in maintenance, inspection, and parts ordering
- Document assembly process and report time on work orders accurately and completely
- Perform any additional work requested/required to meet the needs of PDI, Sales, Service, and their customers
- Complete assigned Brandt and OEM training modules to continually increase knowledge and skill set

- Foundational mechanical and technical aptitude
- Demonstrates a strong commitment to occupational health and safety
- Possesses strong customer service skills, and communicates with customers as required
- Able to work well with service team and branch personnel
- Able to organize work, set priorities, and achieve work-related objectives and goals
- Shows initiative in learning about Brandt Tractors products and customers
- Demonstrated professionalism and takes pride in the role
- Previous experience with John Deere heavy equipment would be considered an asset
