As a Beading Instructor of the Saskatoon Indian and Metis Friendship Centre, you will teach a beading class to a class of maximum 10 participants (age 9 years and up).
MUST BE WILLING TO WORK EVENINGS
The position will be from October 2022 to March 2023. Maximum 3 hours per week.
Qualifications:
Relevant combination of work and experience will be considered
Experience in teaching beading.
Experience in storytelling of First Nations and Metis history and traditions relating to beading.
Understanding of Saskatoon's Indigenous Community.
Able to teach different beading styles and techniques such as: brick stitch, peyote style and flat stich.
You will teach the following: how to make earrings, lanyards and medallions.
The group being taught will be beginners all the way to advanced.
