ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Willingness and ability to work in a manner that aligns with the mission, vision, and core values of Choose Life Ministry. Promote an environment and program that is supportive and nurturing. Have a working knowledge of the application and implementation of program procedures and standards as outlined in the Resident Handbook Demonstrate an understanding of the psychological and social dynamics of working with residents coping with addictions and other life-altering challenges. Effectively communicate with residents and staff to ensure coordinated and consistent approaches to residents are applied. Assist in resolving any conflicts that may occur during shift. Endeavour to develop strong positive rapport with both staff and residents. Responsible for assisting with any type of resident and facility emergencies that may arise during the shift. Ability to be flexible as plans change, exceling at multitasking and problem solving.
GENERAL DUTIES: Attend and participate in staff meetings. Communicate with residents regarding physical health and wellness Be aware of and monitor any possible health concerns Maintain communication with residents physicians Set up and attend appointments or arrange for management to attend appointments Set up and attend video appointments Maintain Med forms and ensure staff are following protocol for medication administration and tracking Make arrangements for any required lab work Pick up medications or alert Homestead Manager to arrange for pick-up of medications Communicate with Pharmacist: 1. Prior to arrival of new residents 2. While the residents are in the program, regarding refills, pick-up, changes to prescriptions, adverse reactions, etc. 3. Alert Pharmacist when the residents leave the program Schedule appointments with: 1. Doctor 2. Dentist (if required) 3. Optometrist (if required) 4. Chiropractor (if required)
