Description

Responsibilities:
Perform activities as part of the Safety Team:
o Prepare and present safety topics
o Perform inspections relating to the Fire Prevention Program
o Data entry and analysis to inform priorities
o Warehouse/purchasing specification support
o Meeting regulatory deadlines for actions and reports

Support Operational Leaders and Teams with respect to:
o Hazard identification, risk communication and risk analysis
o Authorization and permit to work systems
o Workplace inspections, audits and observations
o Non-conformance and incident investigation, classification, analysis and reporting
o Change Management support
o Contractor Management

Emergency Response Team support and participation such as:
o Leading training sessions
o Emergency equipment maintenance and checks
o Participate in the Incident Command Structure (ICS)
o Act as Incident Command
-Have an active presence to encourage worker participation
-Assist in the maintenance of the SMS by preparing and updating documentation

Skills and Qualifications
-Safety Certification or active pursuit of a certification is required (e.g., CRSP, CHSC, NEBOSH, etc.)
-Post-secondary education in Occupational Health and Safety is preferred
-Experience in Emergency Response is considered an asset
-Experience/training in the following areas is an asset:
o Hazard analysis and risk assessment
o Root cause analysis
o Behavior based safety and human factors
o Industrial Hygiene
-Proficiency using SAP, SharePoint, Microsoft Office
-Demonstrated ability to teach and speak publicly
-Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
-Preference will be given to qualified Residents of Saskatchewans North (RSN)

Work Location & Schedule:
-McClean Lake site
-14 days in and 14 days out rotating schedule
-Normally an 11 hour work day, although some activity outside or normal working hours may be required
