1. Provide health education and counseling on health issues and refer to appropriate resources as needed.
2. Initiate and deliver health education and wellness.
3. Be responsible for preparation and revision of health services procedures.
4. Be responsible for ordering equipment and supplies for the health centre.
5. Immunize students and staff as appropriate to their specific program. Recommendations will be based on current provincial guidelines and the most current issue of Canadian Immunization Guide. Immunization records will be maintained on all individuals immunized.
6. Remain current in immunization knowledge and other areas of wellness promotion.
7. Maintain a daily log of services provided.
8. Maintain a working relationship with external resource professionals and agencies to promote easy access to consultation and assistance.
9. Assess and provide treatment for minor injuries and illness, referring more serious injuries to medical attention.
10. Report accidents to appropriate personnel, making recommendation when necessary.
11. Complete appropriate insurance and compensation forms.
