SCHWINGS MEATING PLACE is in need of Meat Cutter
NOC Code: 6331
Employment Terms: Permanent - Full Time
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Slaughter of livestock
2. Cut, trim, and otherwise prepare standard cuts of meat
3. Carcass preparation for cutting
4. Ensure food storage conditions are adequate
5. Manage inventory, keep records of sales and determine amount, product line and freshness of products according to company and customer requirements
6. Cut and wrap meat to customer specifications
WORKING HOURS: 8 hours/day, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM with 2 days off on weekends; Overtime maybe required if the need arises.
WAGE/BENEFITS: $16.00/hour; Company health and dental program (shared cost between employer and employee) after 90 days of employment
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENT
1. Completion of secondary school
2. Minimum 1-year related work experience is required
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
1. Basic knowledge of meat, beef & pork
2. Basic knowledge and understanding of meat processing
3. Knowledge of meat cutting techniques
4. Knowledge of meat cutting equipment
5. Ability to understand and follow instructions
