Duties:
- Excellent comprehension of restaurant operational controls
- Listen and respond to comments and questions of guests and pay regular attention for table visits
- Provide assistance in conducting interviews and hiring of new staff
- Ensure fast and accurate guest service at all times, specially ensuring the staff delivering the specialized Vegan food to the customers
- Respond to complaints, in a timely fashion, taking appropriate actions to dissatisfied guests
- Monitor the health, safety and hygiene standards in the restaurant
- Communicate with kitchen and front staff to ensure the efficiency of the whole operation
- Oversee the scheduling of all employees
- Manage employee files, as well as other records
- Administer the training for new staff
- Manage the party and event reservations and coordinate the events with the customers and the staff
- Verify and balance the register on a daily basis
- Manage the marketing programs and promotion events, as well as monitor social media accounts
- Implement recognition programs to reward employee and management achievements, also oversee the employee performance program and provide reviews on a regular basis
- Oversee the entire operation when needed
Qualifications:
- Experience in the food service sector, including supervisory experience is preferred
- Completion of a college or other program related to hospitality or food and beverage service management is an asset
- Ability to prioritize tasks and adjust to a dynamic work environment
- Multi-tasking skills
- Attention to detail
