Description

Zaks Building Group is a diverse company with the following divisions: RTM and On-Site Homes and Cottages, Agricultural and Commercial Buildings, and Home Hardware Retail Stores in Warman and Hague.
The Accounting Manager plays a key role in cost accounting, variance analysis, account reconciliations, and monthly journal entries. The job centers on assisting with financial statement preparation, budgeting, GST/PST returns, receivables, payables, and job costing. This is great fit for someone looking to looking to join a fast paced and growing organization where they can have a positive impact and grow in their role in the accounting team.  
Duties:
- Assist with the preparation, analysis and verification of accounting records, financial statements, and reports
- Prepare monthly journal entries and perform monthly General Ledger reconciliations
- Responsible for accuracy of financial information presentation in a multi-entity environment
- Complete and submit GST and PST returns
- Monthly financial statements and analysis, including budget vs actual analysis
- Construction job cost accounting including percentage of completion and analysis of variances
- Cash flow management, including forecasts and analysis, assist in preparing budgets and forecasts
- Participate in ad-hoc projects as necessary
- Work with Executive and management team members to gather and compile key data
Experience & Qualifications:
*Strong accounting knowledge through a post-secondary accounting program
*Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office, particularly in Excel
*Excellent communication skills
*Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and the ability to work effectively in a team
*Time management skills to manage multiple tasks while meeting various deadlines
