Carrot River Fire and Rescue, operated by the Rural Municipality of Moose Range #486 and the Town of Carrot River is currently seeking an individual to fill a vacant position within its Department Chief Carrot River Fire and Rescue. Known as SASKATCHEWANS OUTBACK, the RM of Moose Range and the Town of Carrot River are part of a community located in northeast Saskatchewan. Carrot River Fire and Rescue serves a progressive community with over 2,000 residents and one of the largest geographic rural municipalities in Saskatchewan. We boast many activities for the outdoor enthusiast including great fishing, hunting and traditional sporting events.
The Resort Village of Tobin Lake is located to the north of the RM of Moose Range's border and will be served by Carrot River Fire and Rescue. Carrot River Fire and Rescue personnel are paid/on call members and are expected to serve at a trained level while successfully balancing family priorities and the requirements of their regular employment.
The successful applicant will begin as soon as possible depending on availability and will report to the Administrator(s). The incumbent will participate in the Town of Carrot Rivers benefits package to all staff including a matching pension plan (MEPP) and health and dental group benefits (currently Canada Life through SUMA Benefits). We are prepared to offer a competitive compensation package, commensurate with applicable training and experience with placement on the Town of Carrot Rivers salary grid. This is a permanent flex position at 2,080 hours per year. The employer is prepared to negotiate maximum hours and placement on the salary grid with the ideal candidate.
