Facility: YORKTON & DISTRICT NURSING HOME
Job Description: The Nurse Practitioner supports the mission, philosophy and objectives of The Saskatchewan Health Authority and is responsible for assessment planning, delivery and evaluation of health care services to the long term care residents and clients in the multipurpose beds of The Yorkton & District Nursing Home.  This is done in collaboration with the family physicians, other health care providers, community organizations and programs and the resident and their family.
Required Qualifications

Valid Class 5 driver's license
Approved School of Nursing, Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing desired. Certification in recognized Primary Care Nurse Practitioner equivalent program or Nurse Practitioner Masters Program required
Minimum of three (3) years experience working as a Registered Nurse, with experience as RN (NP) in a Primary Health Care setting preferred
Current registration in good standing with Saskatchewan Registered Nursing Association (SRNA)
Current CPR certification in Basic Life Support at Level C.

Proven teaching abilities and skills
Knowledge of health promotion principles
Demonstrated ability to implement change
Demonstrates leadership, confidence and autonomy in the RN (NP) role.
