Job Description: REPORTING DIRECTLY TO THE ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR OF PROFESSIONAL SERVICES, THE SENIOR OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST, IN ADDITION TO PROVIDING DIRECT PATIENT CARE, DIRECTS, SUPERVISES AND PROMOTES THE ACTIVITIES OF THE OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY SERVICE IN THE ALVIN BUCKWOLD CHILD DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM TO ENSURE THAT CHILDREN WITH PHYSICALLY AND/OR COGNITIVELY DISABILITIES AND THEIR FAMILIES REFERRED TO THE PROGRAM RECEIVE A HIGH QUALITY OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY AND THAT STUDENTS ASSIGNED TO THE PROGRAM RECEIVE HIGH QUALITY CLINICAL EDUCATION.
Required Qualifications

Basic Life Support (BLS)
Bachelor Degree in Occupational Therapy
Registered or eligible for registration with the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapy
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Society of Occupational Therapists
Experience
3 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN PEDIATRICS REQUIRED.  
Other Information

Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement.  HSAS seniority within the Saskatchewan Health Authority will be considered under the Selection Criteria.

NEURODEVELOPMENTAL TREATMENT (NDT) CERTIFICATION IS PREFERRED.  PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO A CANDIDATE WITH POST GRADUATE COURSES RELEVANT TO PEDIATRICS.  PREVIOUS SUPERVISORY EXPERIENCE IS AN ASSET.  SENSORY INTEGRATION TRAINING IS AN ASSET.

In a 3 week rotation: 14 shifts of 8.00 hours
