Duties and responsibilities:
-  Drive city bus, school bus and Access bus, pick up and drop off passengers.  
-  Assist passengers with wheelchairs on and off the bus
-  Use lift devices and safety restraint systems for customers with mobility limitations
-  Inspect bus each morning to ensure safety and mechanical soundness; reporting irregularities to the Transit supervisor and the following driver (Pre-trip)
-  Collect fares or punch tickets as required
-  Required to enter and exit bus multiple times in a shift while assisting customers
-  Physically demanding, bending and climbing stairs
-  Prepares daily trip sheet reports
-  Prepares bus for next day by refueling, and cleaning as needed
-  Performs public relations with passengers daily, providing courteous service
-  Assist in other departments as needed (Recycling, Plant Maintenance, Janitorial, Shredding etc)
-  General vehicle and building cleaning and sorting of recyclable material
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
-  Grade 10 education
-  Valid Class 4 drivers license- (Willing to help successful applicants obtain this)
-  Clear drivers abstract
-  Safe Places (City of Swift Current)
-  Previous experience driving large vehicles  1 year
-  Previous knowledge of transit processes
Skills:
-  Thorough knowledge of city streets and layout
-  Defensive driving skills
-  Must be able to perform physical duties for up to 12 hours
-  Basic cash and reporting skills
-  General mechanical aptitude/ knowledge
-  Maintain constant production speed
-  Ability to sort recyclable materials
-  Knowledge of general cleaning
-  Follow all procedures and OH&S policies
