Facility: Nurses Alumni Wing
Job Description: As a member of the Child & Youth Program, Mental Health and Addiction Services, the Community Mental Health Nurse is an integral member of Children's Services. This position will be assigned to the Children's Services Team with responsibilities to the Children's Therapeutic Classroom (CTC). CTC is a community based shared initiative between Mental Health and the Partnership for Children and Youth.* Additional responsibilities will be assigned and carried out at Child and Youth Program (715 Queen).
Required Qualifications

Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Nursing or Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Psychiatric Nursing
Registered or eligible for registration with the Registered Psychiatric Nurses Association of Saskatchewan (RPNAS) or Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA)
Current CPR and PART certification
Basic Life Support and Level C
Must possess a valid Saskatchewan drivers license and have access to a reliable vehicle
Experience
5 years recent experience with children (0-12) with mental health problems required. Experience working with parents (adults).
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to work at more than one site
Knowledge of mental health and mental illness across the life cycle
Current knowledge of mental health and mental illness issues related to children and adolescents
Working knowledge of behavioral management techniques (CBT) and the ability to develop a behavioral management program
Requires initiative, judgement, sensitivity and flexibility in working with other professionals to plan, implement, and modify treatment programs according to needs of individual children
