Nova-Tek Innovations has an immediate opening for a Junior Support IT Technician to join our team. We are seeking an individual with great people skills that is initiative-taking and has the right attitude to learn in a fast pace and growing environment. This position will have a supervisor; however, you must have strong self-drive to provide client support, day to day helpdesk, troubleshooting, and assisting Senior IT Technicians.
The candidate must have their own transportation (vehicle) as traveling to various locations is required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES WILL INCLUDE, BUIT NOT LIMITED TO:
Providing helpdesk support to queries via email, in person, or/and phone
Ability to support multiple clients with various systems
Ability to document workflows and processes
Ability to troubleshoot printer issues
Ability to join computers to domains
Network troubleshooting, adding network/USB printers to computers
Understanding of a domain and workgroup environments
Manage VoIP telephone systems
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Certificate or Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
Have an interest in technology and a willingness to learn
Knowledge and understanding of various computer hardware and troubleshooting techniques
Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and Office 365
Preference shown for candidates with experience with: VEEAM, Windows Server, SL, PHP and Linux Subsystems
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Maintain and monitor the help desk ticketing system
Assist in server and network management support
Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50lbs
Ability to work independently and to be initiative-taking
Other projects and tasks as assigned
Valid Class 5 Drivers License as this position will require daily site-to-site travel
