Description

The Regional Services Branch is seeking a highly-motivated and self-confident individual to provide office management and administrative support to the regional staff in the Humboldt Regional Office.

As a member of the regional team, you will be responsible for a wide range of office administration activities, such as:

-> managing/maintaining office equipment, space and furniture;
-> purchasing of supplies;
-> maintaining inventory and records;
-> monitoring of and processing payments for office expenditures;
-> developing and maintaining an appropriate filing/record management system for the office; and
-> providing administrative support for office staff including supervision of one administrative support position as required.

As the Regional Services Representative, you will have excellent communication skills in order to provide written and verbal explanations to staff regarding administrative, human resource and/or ministry-related guidelines and policies. You will have knowledge of office management and administrative practices and procedures as well as general computer applications such as word processing, databases, spreadsheet software and email.

Typically, this knowledge would be gained through the completion of a certificate in office management/administration support and/or several years experience in an office environment.
