Working with the Climate Change at the corporate office in Saskatoon, you will be responsible adhering to project management frameworks and procedures while completing project coordination, planning, and budgeting activities. The successful candidate will also be responsible for analytical support to evaluate energy efficiency within industrial facilities, following established procedures to support regulatory reporting and review. Additional duties related to report writing and conducting qualitative and quantitative research to identify best practices related to climate risk disclosure, energy management, data analytics, and ESG reporting may also be assigned as needed.
The successful candidate will work a term of approximately four months (May 2023 to August 2023) with possibility of extension. This position is located in Saskatoon with occasional trips to the northern Saskatchewan sites.
Requirements of the position:
- You will be entering your third or fourth year as a university student specializing in environmental sciences, environmental engineering, natural sciences, or a related field.
Assets:
- Field experience is an asset. The successful candidate must hold a valid drivers license and completion of an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) safety course in an asset. Industry experience would be considered an asset.
- Interests in climate change, energy management, risk management, regulatory reporting, and interdisciplinary collaboration would be considered assets.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, MS Project, SAP.
- The ability to meet tight deadlines, working independently with minimal supervision as well as within a team environment are essential. Excellent communication and organization skills are required.
Interviews will take place in February/March 2023. Students will be notified if they are selected for an interview.
