Description

SmiRac Janitorial, a local commercial cleaning & janitorial services company based in Regina, Saskatchewan, is looking for a Janitorial Services Manager NOC 0651 for Southern part of Saskatchewan including Moose Jaw, Estevan, Yorkton, Weyburn, Regina etc. Area. This is a full-time and permanent job. Janitorial Services Manager will report to Operations Manager.

At SmiRac Janitorial, Janitorial Services Manager will perform the following job duties:
    Managing and motivating a team of cleaning staff
    Conduct stock management of consumables; Keep track of inventory needs
    Ensure employees are properly trained and equipped to perform their role
    Deploy and train staff on the use of latest cleaning technology while providing instructions and supervision where necessary
    Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including payroll
    Maintain quality standards
    Ensure compliance with provincial regulations i.e., OH&S Saskatchewan, Alberta
    Certify that equipment is safe to use and in good working condition
    Oversee all escalations and performance management developments
    Conduct safety briefings and toolbox talks
    Collaborate with clients to ensure there are no problems on site
    Support in maintaining a highly trained and motivated staff that constantly strives for excellence in cleanliness and service
    Make sure all employees follow company standards by constantly coaching and redirecting performance.
    Complete the weekly schedule for cleaning staff
    Manage daily schedules, including lunches and breaks
    May perform certain cleaning duties

Education:  High School diploma or equivalent

Skills, Knowledge & Work Experience:
    Previous experience of minimum of 1-2 years in supervision of cleaning procedures in commercial cleaning company is required
    Knowledge in WHMIS & SDS is an ideal
    Experience and solid knowledge concerning the use of cleaning equipment, and cleaning solutions and substances (COSHH)
