Job Description: Under the direction of the Pharmacist - Degree Senior, the Pharmacist - Degree is committed to the integration of knowledge and skill in the provision of quality client-focused pharmacy services within the SHA (former Heartland Health Region). The incumbent is responsible for all medication-related needs of all clients (including Home Care and Community Based Services) throughout the former HHR, the provision of drug information to physicians and other health care professionals, and assistance in the implementation and evaluation of the SHA SW 1 & 2 Pharmacy Performance Plan. The incumbent will perform in a capacity consistent with CSHP or CPhA standards. Two regional pharmacists will support the day to day needs of the SHA SW 1 & 2 pharmacies in 7 acute care sites, 8 emergency departments and 9 health centers as well as be accountable for the supervision, orientation and other duties related to overseeing Pharmacy Technicians, Pharmacy Clerks and any other staff added to the team. This position may also serve as a preceptor to other pharmacists, pharmacy residents and students.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan College of Pharmacists
Certificate from an accredited Hospital Pharmacy Residency program or equivalent experience an asset
Certified in Chemotherapy Administration for the Community Oncology Program (COPS) through the Saskatchewan Cancer Center
Membership in a National Professional Association (eg., CSHP, CPhA, and CCCP) is an asset
