Description

Responsibilities:        
Night Support Workers are members of the Oakdale team and work together to provide housing supports for clients in a flexible, compassionate, and responsible manner.
Qualifications:         
Experience in human services, supported housing, or with persons with disabilities/addictions;
Knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and marginalized populations;
Drivers license & Vehicle;
Excellent communication skills;
Basic computer skills;
Must pass criminal record check and vulnerable sector check;
Ability to work independently;
Remuneration:     TBA

Duties and Responsibilities:
Be available to respond to client needs and requests;
Ensure property security alarms and cameras are on and functional;
Assist other programs when requested;
Responsible for maintaining clear and concise logs of all unusual occurrences or suspicious activities;
Respond to accidents, contact EMS or administer first aid/CPR as required;
Be available for community members for mentorship and consultations via telephone;
Assist community members, guests, employees during emergency situations;
Be aware of emergency procedures in the event of the need for building evacuations;
Notify appropriate individuals and/or authorities in the event of accidents, incidents or other noteworthy information;
Transport clients in accordance with established client transportation policies/protocols;
Maintain client confidentiality at all times;
Escort any unwelcome persons from the property when safe to do so If unable to do this safely, contact local authorities;
Probation: All YWCA positions contain a three  month probation period.
