Description

SaskBuilds and Procurement: where infrastructure, procurement, real property, facility management, logistics and information technology meet to enable the Government of Saskatchewans Growth Plan and programs and services for citizens and communities.

The Ministry of SaskBuilds and Procurement, Property Management, Southern Region, is seeking an individual to join their service team to provide facility maintenance duties at SK Polytechnic - Wascana Campus located in Regina, SK.  

As a member of a service oriented team, you will perform facility maintenance duties including operating, maintaining and cleaning building mechanical systems and HVAC systems. You will perform preventative and minor HVAC and mechanical maintenance, perform safe and efficient operation of boilers, operate air conditioning equipment, analyze and maintain boiler water testing and complete minor plumbing repairs. You will ensure facilities and equipment are safe and meet operating standards (life safety equipment, boiler checks and assist in operation of Direct Digital Controls (DDC)). In addition, you will respond to client complaints and inquiries.

The successful candidate will have a 5th class steam Engineers certificate as well as a Refrigeration Engineers certificate. You will also have knowledge of Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC), automated building management systems and DDC as well as knowledge of the methods, materials, tools and practices of carpentry, plumbing and electrical systems. You will have the ability to inspect, troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions and perform minor repairs and maintenance.

A valid driver's license is also required for this position.

This position involves shift work, both morning and afternoons; on a rotating basis and also includes weekends, and stat holidays. Shifts will be 8 hours in length.
