Description

As a key member of the Purchasing Team, you will have varying levels of involvement in all our projects.  You will use your manufacturing environment experience to specialize in the supply of various materials required for project manufacturing through generating electronic purchase requisitions and initiating internal material project to project transfers. You will use iterative planning tools to monitor the effect of change and actual versus planned consumption on material availability to forecast what is required.

The ideal candidate will be a persistent self-starter with excellent relationship building, strong decision-making skills and impressive attention to detail.  

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

- You will formulate material requirements based on project demands, available inventory, and the production schedule
- You will initiate project to project material transfers
- You will release production orders to stores
- You will plan and release purchase requisitions for buy items
- You will ensure ECO/MCO (Engineering Change Order/Manufacturing Change Order) incorporation into structure, as well as work in process and work in queue for production
- You will monitor actual versus planned material consumption and plan resupply as required
- You will maintain MRP planning records and project records
- You will provide input to facilitate material planning improvements

The Skills and Experience You Have:

- High school diploma or equivalent education
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- You will have the ability to meet the requirements outlined in the Canadian Controlled Goods Program.
- You will be able to obtain a Government Security Clearance at the Reliability level
