Description

Usselman & Johnson CPAs is a full-service professional accounting firm providing accounting, tax and related services to a broad client base with a focus on agriculture and small business.

We are seeking a seasonal administrative assistant / bookkeeper / tax preparer to join our team.  The position will be permanent full-time from approximately February 15 to May 31 annually (negotiable) with the possibility of casual employment for the remainder of the year.

Preference to candidates with the following skills and attributes:
    Highly organized and self-motivated
    Detail oriented with an emphasis on producing quality work
    Ability to multi-task under pressure and manage and meet deadlines
    Ability to work independently and take direction
    Ability to work collaboratively in a small office environment
    Communicate effectively with co-workers, clients and supervisors
    Strong background in both manual and computerized bookkeeping with strong knowledge of Sage/Simply and AgExpert or similar
    Confidence with technology in a small office
    Background in preparation of payroll deductions and remittances
    Knowledge of GST, PST and other government filings
    Knowledge of the Canadian tax system and ability and confidence to assist with income tax preparation and knowledge of Profile income tax software is a definite asset.

Position to commence at a mutually agreed date near February 15, 2023.  Salary will be negotiable depending on qualifications and experience.  Only successful candidates will be contacted for an interview.
