Description

Trade and Export Development is seeking a highly-skilled, well-organized and energetic individual to oversee the administration of the Investment Attraction Branch. This includes accountability for electronic file storage, ensuring processes and procedures are in place to efficiently and effectively process reports, referrals, enquiries and secure approvals, working closely with other branches and the Deputy Ministers office to provide professional and time-sensitive information and supervise the work of an Administrative Assistant located in Saskatoon.

Our candidate of choice will have superior teamwork, organizational and communication abilities. You will be able to establish and maintain effective relationships and demonstrate good judgement and discretion in dealing with all levels of government. This position requires you to have a good understanding of government structure and decision-making processes coupled with knowledge of Microsoft Office, Taleo and Sharepoint. You will be well versed in government protocols, policies and administrative procedures and have the ability to quickly and accurately prepare a variety of documents and correspondence. You will be able to identify and analyze issues, make timely and accurate decisions, and independently organize, prioritize, and complete multiple tasks while dealing with frequent interruptions and tight deadlines.

You will be approachable and respectful when dealing with the public, stakeholders, government organizations and co-workers. The ideal candidate will have a track record of implementing process and procedure enhancements and trying new ways of doing things using a collaborative approach.

Typically, the knowledge, skills and abilities required in this position would be obtained through a certificate/diploma in business education combined with several years of administrative experience in government.
