Facility: Battlefords Mental Health Centre
Job Description: Under the direction of the program area manager, as applicable, and as part of an interdisciplinary team, the Social Worker BSW provides a range of screening, triage, assessment, treatment and case coordination services to a primarily adult community mental health and addiction population.
Required Qualifications

Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers (SASW)
Must have a valid drivers license. Some assignments may require access to a vehicle for work
One year (postgraduate) recognized experience in working within community mental health and addiction services
Recognized Bachelor Degree in Social Work
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Basic computer skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of Recovery philosophy
Ability to work independently and in a self-motivated manner, ability to respond under pressure
Ability to work in a multidisciplinary setting
Knowledge of a variety of mental health and addiction and harm reduction strategies required to enable clients to sustain stability
Knowledge of community resources including treatment programs and support agencies is essential
Knowledge of a variety of intervention strategies (individual and group) for individuals with mental health and addiction problems in a community based setting, including, but not limited to: assessment, triage, treatment, case management
Ability to identify, implement and evaluate areas of client difficulty across a wide range of clinical presentation and formulate evidence based interventions
