Description

The Ministry of Highways is seeking a highly motivated individual with excellent interpersonal, communication, and technical skills to join the Construction Standards team located in Regina. The Quality Assurance Engineer will be an integral member of the Construction Branch and form part of a provincial team that serves a wide range of stakeholders including, but not limited to: Ministry staff, SaskBuilds and Procurement, the Saskatchewan Heavy Construction Association, and the Association of Consulting Engineering Companies  Saskatchewan. You will work closely with project stakeholders to ensure construction contract specifications, practices, and policies are applied consistently in construction tender documents.

To qualify for this position, you will have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in roadway construction, contract tendering and administration, contract law, design, construction, standards development, maintenance and preservation, operations, and/or project management.  

The successful candidate must be registered, or eligible for registration, as a Professional Engineer or Engineering Licensee with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS). The Engineering Licensee must have a minimum of 10 years of experience related to roadway construction and standards development.
