Description

Moose Jaw Family Services is seeking a motivated, results-oriented, and strategic leader to take on the role of Executive Director.

Reporting to the Board, the Executive Director is responsible for the overall management of Moose Jaw Family Services, including program development, financial and facility management, human resource management, grant applications, external relations and for the implementation of Board Policy in a manner consistent with the missions and goals of the organization.

Moose Jaw Family Services vision is to empower individuals and families. Some of the programs we facilitate include Counselling, Family Support, Parenting Programs, Resume Services and Living Independent Skills.

Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Related bachelor's degree or a combination of relevant education and a minimum of five years leadership experience.
- Minimum five years experience in organizational management including human resources, financial management, contract management, strategic planning and standards compliance.
- Understanding of relevant legislation covering community-based organizations, labor standards, OH&S legislation, Saskatchewan Child and Family Services Act and the Non-Profit Corporations Act.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with stakeholders including donors, government, businesses and other community-based organizations.
- Strong leadership, organizational and administrative skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, and written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience working with a board of directors.
- Ability to think strategically and experience in strategic planning.

The Executive Director is required to have a valid drivers license, and the successful candidate will be subject to a Criminal Record Check as a condition of employment.
