Description

STANDING BUFFALO DAKOTA NATION REQUIRES A JORDAN'S PRINCIPLE COORDINATOR
The Jordan's Principle Coordinator will have the primary responsibility to act as a focal point for the children and families that we serve for Standing Buffalo Dakota First Nation related to funding. The coordinator provides service coordination and planning in cooperation with all programs on Standing Buffalo and with any other agency personnel related to children in care and children not in care.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

University degree or college diploma (minimum 2 years) in a field related to social work, education or Human Services. However, other combinations of skills, education and experience that are relevant may be considered. Minimum of one year direct service experience working with children and families.
Experience working with Indigenous people, organizations and communities will be beneficial.

DUTIES: Review all Jordan's Principle documentation related to the Jordan's Principle Orders related to service and financial accessibility from a First Nations perspective.
Assist and develop Jordan's Principle reporting template for formal submission based on budget and service needs of First Nation
Work in collaboration with the programs to identify the needs that are not met and work in
Be familiar with Indigenous Affairs Service Canada documentation related to the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal and Jordan's Principle
Complete reports as required, maintain data and perform other duties as assigned and required.

Must possess a valid Driver's license and be willing to provide a Vulnerable Sector Check and Driver's abstract
