Description

The Saskatchewan Research Councils Environment and Biotech Division has an opening for a Technologist I to join the Radiochemistry area in the Environmental Analytical Laboratories.

Accountabilities
    Prepare samples for analysis and perform a variety of laboratory tests using standardized lab procedures
    Conduct routine and non-routine testing using general laboratory and analytical equipment
    Operate and perform routine maintenance of instrumentation while adhering to protocols and safety guidelines
    Calculate, report and track sample results in the lab information management system (LIMS)
    Wash, clean, and store various forms of labware according to cleaning procedures

Qualifications
    A chemical technology diploma or equivalent
    Experience in laboratory procedures
    Working knowledge of analytical equipment

Skills
    A team player with effective interpersonal, communication, multitasking and problem-solving skills
    Ability to understand and carry out written procedures
    Positive attitude and willingness to help where needed
    Necessary training will be provided

The chosen candidate will be required to provide an original Criminal Record Check that is satisfactory to SRC prior to the commencement of any employment duties. The Criminal Record Check must have been executed within the preceding 30 days of receipt.
