The Director of Administration works under the direction of the Executive Director of Operations to administer the administrative functions and operations for Ochapowace Nation. The Director of Administration will work closely with Program Managers to ensure daily operational functions are streamlined, properly supported, and run efficiently. The Director will monitor operating expenses to align with approved budgets.
Human Services Function
Overseeing day-to-day operations. Developing organizational policies. Lead negotiation of contracts and agreements with vendors. Maintain corporate relationships with stakeholders. Update internal stakeholders on business and operational performance as required.
Financial Management
Budget and funding management experience. Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures. Ensure all supporting information for the annual audit and external auditors and all financial transactions are available and tracked. Manage and oversee financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. Review monthly results and address variance reports. Approve purchase orders according to the program budgets. Oversee the accounting function including maintenance of the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. Liaise with the okimaw iskwew and headmen/women and the Executive Director of Operations on all matters related to the financial state of the Nation and assist with the financial reporting. Responsible for generating/analyzing governmental reports. Report semi-annually for loans; bank reconciliation for TLE, Specific Claim, and Minors Trust. Work plan schedule.
