Description

IF YOU ENJOY WORKING WITH A VARIETY OF PEOPLE AND WANT TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE COMMUNITY, the  Humboldt Housing Authority (HHA) is recruiting for a Manager to oversee its operations and provide service and support to tenants with the efficient and respectful delivery of safe, secure, and affordable housing to the vulnerable.  

HHA manages approximately 175 units comprised of senior units, along with family and some affordable units in the City of Humboldt.  Reporting to the Chair of the Board and working with an experienced team of five FTE the manager is accountable for an overall operating budget of $1.3M.    

As a hands-on manager you are directly responsible for  property and asset management, tenant relations, board relations, financial management, community relations and marketing, and HR management and payroll.  

Along with a down to earth approach, communication and management style, you have a completed undergraduate degree in business, social work, psychology, human services, or similar, and have worked in a management role.   An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Most of all a willingness to learn, exceptional interpersonal skills, and a passion to serve and support the vulnerable, is key for this position.  

Experience in financial management, property management, accounting software, budgeting is required.
Reporting to a board, exposure to the Residential Tenancies Act, National Building Code, tendering, and contracting services is an asset.  A SK valid drivers license and clear vulnerable sector check is required.

Training, mentoring, and coaching will be provided to the selected applicant!
