We are looking for a full-time bookkeeper to serve in our growing firm.
Job Duties:
Completes day-to-day, full-cycle accounting, ensuring sound accounting principles & practices.
Calculate and prepare cheques for payrolls, government remittances including payroll, GST/HST, Workers Compensation Board, corporate taxes, and other government levies.
Calculate fixed assets and manage depreciation.
Completes timely month-end reporting and year-end documentation, managing our financial documentation and records accurately.
Manage and comply with municipal, provincial, and federal government reporting requirements, tax filings, insurance plans, and other legislation (e.g. Service Canada, CRA, WCB).
Preparation of working paper files for compilation, review and audit engagements.
Other administrative duties if assigned.
Requirements for the role:
At least one year of work experience in the related role.
High proficiency in MS Office Suite.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Strong attention to detail, efficient, accurate and consistent.
