Description

As Administrative Assistant for this well-established non-profit organization, you will provide administrative support to the managers and employees, plus serve as liaison between the staff and the public.

Responsibilities:
-  General Reception support  answer calls, answer general questions, transfer calls and relay messages.
-  Serve as the contact person with clients utilizing the organization's services.
-  Schedule participants in training classes and handle registration payments.
-  Prepare correspondence, photocopy, and file various materials and supplies related to the assigned  training programs.  Word processing, data entry of information (using Access) and record keeping.
-  Prepare, record, and track invoice payments associated with service programs.
-  Process incoming/outgoing mail, faxes and packages.
-  Monitor and keep track of staff schedules


Education:
-  Grade 12 minimum.  
-  An office education certificate, diploma or related training is an asset.  

Experience:
-  2 to 3+ years office experience (intermediate level).

Computer:
-  Int-Adv knowledge of Word and Excel.
-  General database exp is required, ideally in Accsess.

Personality/ Desired attributes:
-  A professional and courteous demeanor.  Stellar customer service/phone skills.
-  Organizational and administrative skills.
-  The ability to operate independently with minimal direction.
-  Strong interpersonal and communication skills including tact, diplomacy and discretion.
-  Team focused, a person who likes to support and help a team.
