As a member of the Information Technology Services (ITS) management team, this position plays a key role in administrative leadership and strategic planning for Saskatchewan Polytechnic. Reporting to the Director IT Operations the managers role is to oversee a team of 15 direct reports, including 2 team leads, who specialize in the design, development, acquisition, and support of mission-critical endpoint computing services including:
Virtualized Desktop Infrastructure
Application and license packaging and provisioning
Device Evergreen management
Device and peripheral deployment
Physical and Virtual academic computer lab management
Deskside technical support for staff and students
The manager is responsible for planning, designing, and analyzing the endpoint delivery and support strategies according to best practices, while ensuring high levels of customer service quality and service availability. The manager has an accountability for managing and monitoring a budget and is responsible for vendor and contract management with respect to endpoint infrastructure and assets.
Occasional travel is required between all Sask Polytech locations for administrative responsibilities as required, as well as travel provincially, nationally, and occasionally internationally to represent ITS and Saskatchewan Polytechnic.
