Description

The BBP Nurse is responsible for the delivery of Sexual Health services within the Battle River Treaty 6 Health Centre communities this includes sexual health outreach services which include testing, treatment, preventative education, counselling, support, and harm reduction services, this includes working one day a week at the Battlefords Sexual Health clinic.

QUALIFICATIONS
    Bachelor of Science in Nursing
    Registered Nurse in good standing (or eligible to become registered) with Sask. Registered Nurses Association.
    Minimum 3 years in community health nursing experience in First Nations community an asset.
    Demonstrate an understanding of the health and social issues facing First Nations people
    Good understanding of population health principles and concepts
    Must be able to work as an effective team member and to work independently, in a self- motivated manner.
    Excellent interpersonal communication skills
    Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
    Must possess Valid drivers license
    Previous working experience with First Nations people and demonstrate an understanding of the health and social issues encountered by First Nation people and a willingness to learn about and accept First Nations cultures.
    Must provide a clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector
    Must be computer literate

Hours of Work: 8:30 to 4:30, Monday to Friday
