What you'll do:
- Provide critical support to the Maintenance Management team by organizing and overseeing various assigned projects, managing an annual calendar of projects, and being the "go to" person for the management team
- Gather information and create reports; Use this information to follow up on outstanding items, conduct research, and prepare information for the management team to use in decision making
- Oversee annual and routine maintenance department projects such as pest control, fire inspections, smoke detectors, annual tenders etc.
What you'll need:
- Experience providing administrative support in a busy environment (3-5 years' preferred)
- Demonstrated experience with computers: You are a whiz with all Microsoft office products and you love working in Excel!; Experience with Microsoft Access will also help you in this role
- Problem solving and critical thinking skills: you know how to see a project through to completion and you can recognize when you need to gather more information
- Self-motivation and the ability to work independently: You know how to get the job done!; You ask for help when needed but enjoy working without constant supervision
- Organizational skills and attention to detail: You know how to keep track of a busy workload and you pick up on details that others often miss
- Confidentiality and professionalism: You understand the importance of representing your organization in a positive and professional manner; you have experience recognizing what information should be kept private
- Knowledge of general maintenance procedures/products and the tendering process will help you in this role
