Job Overview
The role of the Grain Plant Operator is vital to ensuring that all grain cleaning meets customer specifications. Grain cleaning operations require keen attention to the specific functioning of the processing equipment. Basic computer skills and an orientation toward accuracy is required. This attention to detail ensures appropriate process flow.
Accountabilities
1) Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Monitor quality of production process and perform corrective machine adjustments
Inform supervisor of mechanical malfunctions, product irregularities or non-conformances
Record production performance and food quality data information
Observe gauges, computer printouts and data points to verify specified processing conditions
Conduct routine cleaning quality tests for product to customer specifications
Maintain equipment and troubleshoot as needed,
2) Secondary Tasks
Clean machines and work area and storage tools and supplies as assigned
All other duties as assigned from time to time
3) Compliance Responsibilities
Follow all Safety and Food Safety (HACCP) Standard Operating Procedures
Observe and report any non-conformances to your supervisor, in a timely manner
Participate in and complete all safety training as assigned
Adhere to all safety procedures
This position works regular shift work 8 hrs by 5 days per week from 1 Oct to 30 June each year.
