CanPro Farms Ltd. produces alfalfa and supplies hay to CanPro Ingredients Ltd. We work to maximize alfalfa production, all while being good stewards of the land. We are located in Arborfield, Saskatchewan, in the heart of a very productive farming area.
CanPro is seeking a Farm Worker to assistant in the upcoming seasons farming operations. This is a seasonal position from approximately June to November each year.
The Farm Workers duties and responsibilities include:
- Operate various machinery including swathers and harvesters
- Operate machinery in a safe and efficient manner
- Stay in close communication with the Truck Driver to minimize loss of product
- Perform daily pre-trip inspections prior to operating machinery
- Keep machinery clean, fueled and maintained, and report all mechanical problems to the Shop Mechanic
- Assist the Shop Mechanic with repairs as needed
- Map the route to and from field
- Maintain a close working relationship with other employees and farm management
- Other general tasks as assigned
Requirements:
- Possession of a valid class 5 or higher drivers license and clean driving record
- Experience in operating heavy or agriculture equipment or have the mechanical aptitude to be trained
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Transportation/Travel Information
- Valid driver's licence
