The ministry is responsible for municipal relations, building standards, and First Nations, Metis and Northern Affairs, enhancing the quality of life for all Saskatchewan people.

The Northern Municipal Services Branch of Government Relations is seeking a Director of Finance and Accounting to provide professional financial accounting expertise.

The ideal candidate will have a professional accounting designation and outstanding leadership, organizational, interpersonal and communications skills; significant knowledge and practical experience of professional accounting, including principles and standards such as Public Sector Accounting Board standards, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards. You will have the proven ability to anticipate and recognize financial accounting and management issues, implications, and to evaluate options and recommend solutions. You will have significant experience in program management and human resource management. Strong negotiation skills with demonstrated ability to work with multiple stakeholders with varying interests is also required.
