Description

Founded in 1988, NSC Minerals has grown to be a major supplier of bulk salt in Western Canada and the Northern United States. We have three Saskatchewan based production facilities and network of storage and transload locations across the Western Provinces. Our head office is located in Saskatoon, SK.
NSC Minerals Ltd is requiring a Plant Superintendent for our Vanscoy operation. This position is Full Time/Permanent at our Vanscoy plant located at the Nutrien Potash Mine Site.  

Requirements:
- Must have own transportation and a valid driver's license
- Drug & Alcohol pre-employment test required
- Experience required at a minimum of 5 years

Job Duties Description:
- Reporting to Plant Manager primary responsibility is to ensure drying and loading equipment is in good working order and co-ordinate all repairs with the Plant Manager.
- Ensure all paperwork associated with the safety, drying and maintenance is complete, neat and legible.  Distribute to proper office staff in a timely manner.
- Ensure all plant personnel are properly trained so each individual knows what is expected of them as well as their co-workers.
- Work with the plant manager to plan work schedules for the week and the weekend.  
- Work with management to continually try to improve on all aspects of safety, loading, drying and maintenance.
- Ensure all hazard assessments and permits are filled out properly before work starts.
- Ensure the workers are informed and trained to deal with the hazards in the work place and that re-training is carried out as needed and required
- Be aware of applicable legislation and company procedures.  
- Completing and reviewing of daily site paperwork.  Will include signing of permits, FLHA cards, timesheets.
- Working with computers and computer programs will be required.  Must be able to navigate Microsoft Office.
