Description

AGT Foods Canada, a division of Alliance Pulse Processors Inc., is seeking a Joint Venture Accountant to join our Regina Head Office team.

The successful candidate will work primarily in the AGT Soileos and AGT Oats partnerships and duties will include:

-Prepare/ review journal entries, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
-Set up and prepare the monthly reconciliation of general ledger accounts
-Perform monthly inventory close process and reconciliation  book to physical
-Prepare monthly financial reports including various management reports
-Submission of the subsidiary consolidation schedules to AGT Head Office
-Assist with preparation of external financial statements
-Cheque signor within each of the entities
-Liaise with auditors on year-end audit requests
-Establishment of full cycle accounting processes, controls, and initiatives
-Participate in ad hoc projects and initiatives as required

Skills & Abilities Required:

-University degree or diploma, specializing in accounting
-Current enrollment or willingness to enroll in a professional designation program as asset
-Demonstrated past experience in the above tasks would be considered
-Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel
-Strong communication skills and attention to planning, process, and detail
-Must be a self-starter with a positive, entrepreneurial spirit
-Experience in the Agricultural industry, preferred, but not required
