Kikinahk Friendship Centre in La Ronge, Sask, is seeking an Executive Director. The E.D in partnership with the Board and staff is responsible for the success of Kikinahk and assures our relevance to the community.
The role requires exceptional strategic leadership to advance our vision, mission, and priorities. The scope of the Executive Director's role encompasses the management of the organization's employees, operational budgets, accounting function, proposal writing and submission, contracts, volunteers, and community relationships.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years experience in management/human resources
- Experience working with and reporting to a Board of Directors, maintaining Board meeting
minutes and Annual General Meetings.
- Bachelor degree in Public Administration, Education or Social Work preferred; a combination of education and experience will be considered
- Experience in working with First Nations and Metis peoples
- Experience in supervision of staff in multiple disciplines
- Successful grant writing experience
- Proficiency in accounting and in particular the Accpac Accounting system
- Demonstrated experience in event and program management, including reporting to funders
- First Nation or Metis candidate preferred
- Applicants must have a valid Drivers License, and provide a satisfactory Criminal and Child
Abuse registry check.
