POSITION SUMMARY
The Fitness Manager is responsible for leading and maintaining the day-to-day strategies and operations of Fitness on 25th. They will work in the best interest of the business and our members. It is their prerogative to manage the fitness staff, maintain on-site equipment, plan employee schedule, navigate crisis management, and create ideas and actions for revenue growth.
POSITION REPORTING: Reports to the Director of Fitness
HOURS OF WORK
This is a part-time position
Please Note: Consideration will be given to a candidate who desires more hours
DIRECT REPORTS: Customer Service Associates and Fitness Consultants
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensuring members and potential members have the best service possible
- Manage and schedule fitness staff
- Help develop fitness planning to enhance the overall experience at Fitness on 25th street
- Oversee financial transactions
- Maintain current relations we have with our renters, and develop new ones

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma
- Experience working in the fitness industry
- Kinesiology degree preferred
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing; ability to create effective working relationships with employees and the public
- It is considered an asset to possess current status for basic CPR and First Aid
- All YWCA employees are required to submit a criminal record check as part of the process of employment
